Emily joined the JAMfest team in August 2005. Emily has been working JAMfest events since she was in high school. Over the years, she has judged dance, sold merchandise and worked backstage loading teams and running practice floors.

Emily has 18 years of dance experience. She started dancing when she was four years old and danced at 360 Dance (formerly Dale Meyer School of Dance) for 11 years, where she was a 6-time national champion. Emily also danced for the 3-time National Champion Assumption High School dance team for four years. After high school, she was member and captain of the National Champion University of Kentucky dance team. She taught dance for several years and coached a middle-school dance team.

Emily graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Strategic Communication. In her free time, she likes to sleep, shop, read, watch movies, and cheer on those UK CATS!!

What I Like Best about Dance and Cheerleading: What I like best about dance and cheering: When you dance with a group of girls, they become your family. Those relationships you build as well as the opportunities you gain are two things that make dance so incredible! I also love that dance is a form of self-expression. So much emotion and passion can be conveyed in a two-minute dance. I love performing, and I love to watch others who have just as much passion for the art as I do!
